It seems clear now "Firstly, the Men’s C2 500m has been cancelled from the Olympic Programme and will be replaced by Women’s K1 200m". Official article here.

It was good time few years ago. Now I am starting to train again, but still have big problems with my back and I don't expect anything important, at least this upcoming season. But it is nice to know, that where was a time when I was good oponent for everyone out there on 200m.

Now things are more clear than few weeks ago: 200m will be in 2012 Olympic Games !!! The main discussion now is about who will be dropped out of the game, because women K1 200m will be introduced for sure.

ICF meeting in December will decide witch mens races will be eliminated from Olympic games (we already know, that 500m will  be moved to 200m). Most logical solution would be to make women K1 200m instead C2. I know that it is not wise, but smartest way of solving problem. Sure it would be nice not to replace anything, but add additional quotas for athletes. Sad that this is not how things work in Olympic movement these days.

So waiting for December.
